Glucomannan is a dietary fiber that comes from the root of the Konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac), a perennial plant that thrives in Southeast Asia and Africa .
Glucomannan is a rich source of soluble fiber with beneficial effects on the digestive system while containing almost no calories. As a dietary supplement, glucomannan is officially used to treat obesity
It has an important physicochemical property such as that of water absorption. This property makes it swell in the stomach, resulting in a feeling of fullness and satiety
It is a type of nonionic hydrocolloid dietary fiber and consists of D-mannose and D-glucose linked by β-1, 4 glycosidic bonds in a molar ratio of 1:1.6–1:1.4. In addition, there are acetyl groups at random positions along the molecule. The molecular weight of glucomannan ranges up to 2,000,000, depending on its extraction processes.
Glucomannan can form a layer around food and therefore can inhibit the absorption of cholesterol and bile acids. It also forms a protective film on the intestinal wall and prolongs the residence time of food in the stomach. In addition, fiber cleanses the stomach and removes toxins through intestinal peristalsis. As it is effective in absorbing water and is low in calories, it promotes satiety and reduces hunger.

Order Cancellation
You may cancel your order if you wish, without charge, provided that there has been no shipment of products from our headquarters.
Product Return and Refunds
We will do what we can to ensure your happiness with every purchase. So, if you’re not totally satisfied - we can offer a refund as long as it is returned within 14 days of receipt.
Returned products must be new, unopened and in original condition. To return a product, please send an email to info@pharmeden.co.uk to notify us of your intent to return an item or items. Please include your name, the items you plan to return and the reason for the return.
Within 7 days of our receiving your return, your refund will be processed after an inspection and a credit will be automatically applied to your original method of payment. Your refund will include the cost of the item, plus any applicable sales tax.
Please note return shipping fees are responsibility of the purchaser and the original shipping fees paid are non-refundable. Also, refused shipments will not be refunded.
