VITAMIN C is necessary for the production of collagen, an important building component of blood vessels, ligaments, and bones. It also plays an important role in the synthesis of norepinephrine (an important neurotransmitter). It is also necessary for the synthesis of carnitine (transfers fatty acids into the mitochondria).

Recent studies have shown that it affects the catabolism of cholesterol to bile acids and in turn reduces the possibility of developing gallbladder disease. Vitamin C increases the bioavailability of iron from food intake, through a greater absorption of mineral iron via the intestinal system.

VITAMIN C is a potent and effective antioxidant, which protects the organism against free radicals and Reactive Oxygen Species that are created during natural metabolism. It has the ability to regenerate Vitamin E. Recent studies in smokers have shown that Vitamin C regenerates Vitamin E from its oxidized form.

VITAMIN C stimulates the production and function of white blood cells, especially neutrophils, lymphocytes and phagocytes. Vitamin C protects the integrity of the immune system’s cells. Neutrophils, lymphocytes, and phagocytes accumulate Vitamin C in high concentrations, which in turn protect these types of cells from oxidative damages. Vitamin C, through its antioxidant action, protects white blood cells from self-oxidation by enhancing their glutathione levels. Clinical studies have shown that Vitamin C improves the vasodilation in people with cardiovascular problems.

Order Cancellation

You may cancel your order if you wish, without charge, provided that there has been no shipment of products from our headquarters.

Product Return and Refunds

We will do what we can to ensure your happiness with every purchase. So, if you’re not totally satisfied - we can offer a refund as long as it is returned within 14 days of receipt.

Returned products must be new, unopened and in original condition. To return a product, please send an email to info@pharmeden.co.uk to notify us of your intent to return an item or items. Please include your name, the items you plan to return and the reason for the return.

Within 7 days of our receiving your return, your refund will be processed after an inspection and a credit will be automatically applied to your original method of payment. Your refund will include the cost of the item, plus any applicable sales tax.

Please note return shipping fees are responsibility of the purchaser and the original shipping fees paid are non-refundable. Also, refused shipments will not be refunded.
